Our founder + guide, Jes Williams, has been practicing yoga since 2004. She started her journey at Baron Baptiste’s studio in Boston where she fell in love with the heat and strength of the sequence. Moving away from Boston and bouncing from coast to coast, yoga kept Jes grounded through life’s many challenges. She completed her first 200 hour RYT from Dhyana Yoga in Philadelphia in 2012 with the inspirational Diana + John Vitarelli, and continued her studies with Lisa Murray at Yoga Community in 2013-2014.  This 2nd training focused on the eight-fold path of Raja Yoga. Her personal practice and teachings range from a powerful Ashtanga vinyasa to the inner practices of Raja.

In 2015, Jes studied with the amazing Jane Austin in San Francisco, who focuses on prenatal and postnatal health and wellness. Jes is certified through her school, Mama Tree, and highly recommends to any woman thinking about being a mama, pregnant, or already a mama to learn from Jane!

In March 2018 Jes wrapped up her 500 hour program with YogaWorks and is joining their team of teachers August 2018! YogaWorks has been leading trainings for 30 years. Her mentors are Christy Brown, Michele Klink, Sarah Ezrin and Erika Trice.

Jes now resides and teaches in Sonoma County, Ca and is an ERYT 200 // RYT 500 // RPYT 90.  She teachers classes, workshops, and teachers on the business of yoga as well as prenatal/postnatal health.

Jes's first child, Hudson, arrived in September 2015; her and her husband could not be more overjoyed! Her second child, Bodhi, arrived February 2017. She loves to giggle with her kids, paint, and explore the many uses of essential oils.

A jack of many trades, she's enjoying a big life in a small town.

Yoga Collaborator, Melissa Beasley is a Sonoma-based yoga teacher who was first introduced to yoga in 2002, but it wasn’t until 2011 that she was drawn into a deeper personal practice. Yoga has helped transform her life, both on and off the mat, which inspired her to follow her passions and share the gift of yoga with others. In 2015, she completed a 200-hour training program in the Raja tradition through Yoga Community, and is a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. Melissa is currently working towards her 500-hour certification.

Her teaching style emphasizes listening to your body and inner wisdom. Melissa believes yoga should be accessible to all age groups, backgrounds, and fitness levels. In her gentle flow classes, she guides students through breathing techniques, contemplative practices, and coordinated body movement. Her goal is to encourage students to develop their own personal practice, and to find a sense of happiness, balance, and well-being in both body and mind.

Melissa has worked professionally in the wine industry since 2007. She is passionate about travel, animals, personal growth, and holistic wellness. When she’s not practicing or studying yoga, you'll find her traveling abroad and spending time outdoors. You can keep up with her international travel adventures at www.melissabeasley.com.

Yoga Collaborator, Renee Clair: "As a young girl, I felt different... out of place. At my inner core I strived to bring joy to others around me only to have it hushed and quelled. I felt alone in a negative and abrasive world and my light dimmed. As I grew up, I fell into self-destructive behaviors such as co-dependent and addictive relationships, self-medication (especially with school and work!) and a constant need for perfectionism. I've suffered and endured much anguish and darkness as a result of my childhood experiences.

But my light was never fully snuffed out. I searched for joy inadvertently using my honed skills ofperfectionism and the desire to serve others. I found meditation, ayurveda, life and career coaching and asana practice (most widely known as YOGA!).

discovered all over again that my joy comes from spreading light into the world and my medium of choice isthrough collaborative education. Let's work together to get you on your path to achieving your long-desired goals!

urrently, I live in Sonoma, CA with my beautiful Chihuahua mix, Nilla, although we call home San Antonio, TX. I'm forever a student at heart: I'm working with a personal trainer on food and fitness goals, discovering the art of tidiness and perfecting my blogging voice. You can find me randomly singing a song in public or loudly in  my car, watching guilty pleasures on Netflix or enjoying company with a friend in-person or via FaceTime".
